Net Affinity Pty Ltd (ABN 62 168 147 582), trading as Microdesk ("Microdesk", "we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly, including:

Name, email address, phone number and delivery/billing address
Order history, quote requests and files you upload (e.g. bulk quote lists)
Account login details, if you register for an account
Correspondence when you contact our support team

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway provider — we do not store your full card details ourselves. When you browse our site we also automatically collect device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) via cookies and similar technologies.

To process and deliver your orders, quotes and returns
To provide customer support and respond to enquiries
To send order updates and, where you've opted in, marketing communications
To operate, secure and improve our website

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information with third parties only where necessary, including:

Our ecommerce platform (BigCommerce), which hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf
Payment processors, to securely process your payment
Delivery and logistics partners, to fulfil and track your order
Google Analytics, for aggregated website traffic and usage analysis
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, for advertising and retargeting — you can opt out via your Meta ad preferences or browser settings
Our email marketing platform, to send order updates and, where you've subscribed, promotional emails — you can unsubscribe at any time

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly without them.

5. Data security & retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law (including tax record-keeping obligations).
